TypeBRAWL: 2-Player Typing Battle
TypeBRAWL: 2-Player Typing Battle
Master the arena in TypeBRAWL, the ultimate futuristic typing duel. Outtype your rival in high-speed arcade battles. Real-time combat meets precision!
TypeBRAWL is a 2-player competitive typing game. One player types Red words, and the other types Blue words. As you type your words, you steal points from your opponent. The first player to take the full score wins.
Typing
- Both players type at the same time.- Start typing any word that matches your color.
- Once you start typing a word, you are locked onto that word.
- After locking on, only the correct next letters will continue your progress.
- When you finish a word, you score its points immediately. The score is displayed in a small circle in the corner of the word.
Word Timing
- Words stay on screen for 5 seconds.- They start blinking 2 seconds before they disappear.
- If you do not finish them in time, they disappear. Missing a word does not directly cost points, but it removes that scoring opportunity.
Double Score Words
- If you start typing a 7-, 8-, or 9-letter word when there are only 2 seconds left (when it starts blinking), you will receive double points.- A long word completed at the last moment can be very valuable. However, if you do not finish it before it disappears, you receive no points.
Purple Words
- A purple word appears every 15 seconds.- It stays available to be claimed for 5 seconds. During that time, Red can press Left Ctrl and Blue can press Right Ctrl to claim it.
- If nobody claims it before it expires, it disappears.
- A purple word is worth 30 points. However: if the claimer finishes the word in time, they gain 30 points. If they fail, the opponent gains the 30 points instead. This makes purple words high-risk, high-reward.
What happens after a purple word is claimed
- Once a player claims the purple word:
-- The game action freezes.
-- The claimer gets a 3-second ready period.
-- Then the claimer has 3 seconds to type the purple word.
-- Only the claiming player can type during this phase.
